Dark Matter: If you have your Crafters leveled, you can use Dark Matter to repair your gear without needing a Mender NPC.The best food that’s buyable for Gil comes from Foundation, Ishgard. You can buy food in many places, such as in the city market areas. Aside from EXP the extra stat bonuses can be pretty helpful as well.
Any type of Food alone will grant you a 3% EXP buff for 30 minutes, which doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up.

You’ll need a grand total score of 600 points from the Fashion Report to buy everything. (Wonder Square, aka the Yellow Area) You might know this as the other NPC at the Fashion Report. Spring Outfit: Purchase in The Gold Saucer from Kasumi. These Glamours actually hide your equipment so can run around nakey, should you choose. 
The Emperor’s New Gear: Purchasable in Vesper Bay, Western Thanalan from Swyrgeim, for very little Gil. There’s not a lot of Glamour options which are buyable for Gil, sadly.
